Microdermabrasion is a safe, painless, medical technique for removing the topmost layer of skin leaving it supple and vibrant. The special Micro-wand removes this layer of skin by gently abrading the skin with natural diamond powder. At the same time the dead skin cells are vacuumed away in a sterile and controlled manner. Removing this outer layer of skin leaves a smoother texture and promotes new growth of collagen thus reducing scarring and wrinkles. Microdermabrasion using a Micro-wand is similar to dermabrasion aluminum oxide or salt in its results, but without the adverse effects of loose particles, irritation and skin reaction. Unlike others, our system uses no loose crystals or other loose powders, so it can be used near the eyes, and even on the eyelids.

Microdermabrasion is a wonderful alternative to laser resurfacing because it is noninvasive, non-surgical and requires no down time after treatment. Normal activities may be resumed immediately after treatment and your skin is free of redness, irritation and particle contamination. You will experience softer, smoother and cleaner skin after the first treatment. Treatment lengths vary from four to ten sessions depending on the condition being treated and your type of skin.

Your skin may look slightly rosy right after the treatment but it will return to normal in 10 to 30 minutes. Your skin will feel softer smoother and more youthful after the first treatment and will continue to improve with additional treatments.
